On-Campus Health Services at Stanford
Vaden Health Center provides many types of health care on campus, and requires that every registered student carry adequate health insurance. This requirement can be met through Cardinal Care, or through an alternative insurance plan that has comparable benefits. Cardinal Care, the university sponsored health insurance option, is a comprehensive plan specifically designed for Stanford students. Cardinal Care offers robust coverage at school, at home, and while traveling or studying abroad, and provides coverage for enrollees during leaves of absence, school breaks, immediately following graduation, and in quarters when students might not be registered for classes, such as summer. Students enrolled in Cardinal Care have access to Stanford faculty specialists and hospital and emergency care at the Stanford University Medical Center. Public Safety at Stanford
The Stanford University Department of Public Safety exists to provide a safe, secure atmosphere which is conducive to freedom of expression and movement, for people and their property at Stanford University, within the constraints of the Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinance. Stanford Recreation is organizationally housed within The Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation and more specifically within Recreation and Wellness.
